William & John: No. 8
"A magazine for the gay community", William & John was a camp Australian publication that described themselves as 'homosexual and proud of it'. The first of only 8 issues was published in 1972. This issue was their last. It includes an interview with David Bowie circa The Man who Sold the World; an article titled The Pink Triangle: Nazi Homosexual Oppression; a story on the films of Mae West; and a super cool pre-photoshop nude centrefold collage. A real historical document of the gay lib movement in Australia during the early 70's, it also includes ads for related gay printed press materials of the time.
