William Eggleston: Stranded in Canton
Shot in 1974, Stranded in Canton was a groundbreaking film by photographer William Eggleston. At times hard to watch, it captured a group of rough, hard-drinking Southerners in Memphis and New Orleans. The book contains 40 frame enlargements from the digital re-master, as well as the DVD of the film itself. The DVD also includes a brief appreciation from filmmaker Gus Van Sant, along with more than 30 minutes of bonus footage and an interview with Mr. Eggleston conducted at the 2005 Toronto Film Festival.
