Paris Style: The Private Apartments of Paris
By Marie-France Boyer. Photographs by Philippe Girardeau.
Well we found this are were like “OK great - another book about Parisian interiors”, but then we opened it up and were like HOLY SHIT, looooook at this! Practically every page is like that, there are so many mind blowing homes here. From a pastel green kitchen in which lives a giant gold snail as it’s centrepiece, to the super-spartan completely white-tiled (including walls, floors, ceilings – even the furniture!) home of the sculptor Jean-Pierre Raynaud; not to mention the kitsch pop interior designed by the photographers Pierre et Gilles which one can find (Wizard of Oz reference alert) by following the trail of dusted gold paint leading up to the residence. Phew! There is so much to see in this heavy tome, we could be here all day!
