By Lewis Carroll, illustrated by Graeme Base

From its origin as a looking lass poem, Jabberwocky is a work of Lewis Carroll’s vivid imagination. Jabberwocky stems from Graeme Base’s ambition to illustrated Lewis Carroll’s evocative poem. Dense on imagery and pages of eccentric landscapes. Many of words have been created by him. We discover that ‘brillig’ means ‘four a clock in the afternoon – the time when you start broiling things for diner’. And, ‘slithy’ means ‘lithe and slimy’.
