By Joel D. Levinson.
A beautiful book of incredible photos of the Californian Flea Market scene - the carnies, the buyers, the wares - circa late 70s / early 80s. Strongly reminiscent of Bill Owen’s documentary-style suburban domestic scenes, it’s a wonder how Joel D. Levinson is not as well known a photographer. With a sensitive eye he captured arresting and often amusing situations that leave a lasting impression. This is one of those books, which was so hard to photograph – we wanted to shoot every page!
